Outlaw introduces the latest innovation to traditional wood shafts with torrefied maple (Kielwood), this maple has been heat treated in a specialized vacuum oven to remove sugars, moisture, and other impurities. This process vulcanizes the wood, making it stronger yet lighter in weight. The big advantage of this process is that the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable piece of wood.
